Coronavirus creates uncertainty about deliveries to and from F&H
As is clear from the reports in the daily press, large parts of China remain more or less shut down due to Covid-19 / Coronavirus, affecting the delivery situation from China and elsewhere in the region as a result.
The extensive shutdown in China also means that production in many places remains on hold. Large parts of the infrastructure are also paralysed, including port terminals, railways, airports, etc.
Unfortunately, F&H is unable to provide a clear answer with regard to our many shipments from China, but naturally we are keeping a very close eye on the situation.
We are, to the extent possible, in constant contact with our suppliers and have asked them to reconfirm ETD/ETA on current orders. If there are any definite changes to your deliveries, we will inform you of this as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, at this stage, we are unable to give you a more concrete answer as to when the situation will be back to normal, but there is no doubt that there will be delays over the coming months which will have an impact on deliveries in the months to come.
A situation such as this involving a virus that disrupts the entire production chain in China for several weeks constitutes a force majeure, but we will, of course, do everything we can to keep you informed of the situation, as well as to ensure delivery as soon as possible.
